I like to sleep on a high pillow. 😉😂 Brownbanded bamboo shark, (Chiloscyllium punctatum) the most amazing fact about this #shark is it can survive out of the water for up to 12 hrs. Concave posterior margined dorsal fin. No color patterns for the adults but the juveniles have dark transverse bands with some dark spots. These sharks are nocturnal animals and Classified as Near Threatened (NT) on the IUCN Red List. Its minimum population doubling is 4.5–14 years range. The tripletail wrasse (Cheilinus trilobatus). A fish not very often photographed by me due to its shy behavior and it’s not very common. It eats shelled benthic invertebrates such as mollusks and crustaceans, but sometimes fish. Myrichthys colubrinus, the banded snake eel, ringed snake eel or harlequin snake eel. It grows to a size of 97 cm in length and is often mixed up with the banded sea krait due to its ability to the Batesian mimicry. It also adjusts its behaviour to swim freely during the day, whereas other snake eels tend to stay hidden and roam at night. This ist a starry pufferfish in its mouth you can see a Cymothoa exigua, or the tongue-eating louse, it is a parasitic isopod of the family Cymothoidae. This parasite enters fish through the gills. The female attaches to the tongue and the male attaches on the gill arches beneath and behind the female. Females are 8–29 millimetres (0.3–1.1 in) long and 4–14 mm (0.16–0.55 in) wide. Males are approximately 7.5–15 mm (0.3–0.6 in) long and 3–7 mm (0.12–0.28 in) wide. The parasite severs the blood vessels in the fish’s tongue, causing the tongue to fall off. It then attaches itself to the remaining stub of the tongue and becomes the fish’s new tongue. A common lesson that all sharks have to swim is often taught or said by media streams but in fact there are many “lazy” sharks. 😉 Just like this zebra shark (Stegostoma fasciatum) which is a nocturnal hunter and otherwise lays around all day chilling. Tube dwelling anemone Ceriantharians have a crown of tentacles that are composed of two whorls of distinctly different sized tentacles. The outer whorl consists of large tentacles that extend outwards. These tentacles taper to points and are mostly used in food capture and defence. The smaller inner tentacles are held more erect than the larger lateral tentacles and are used for food manipulation and ingestion. First time I’ve seen a Marbled shrimp (Saron marmoratus) here. It’s also known as the Saron Shrimp, Eyespot Shrimp or Carid Shrimp. There seems to be some debate as to whether their present taxonomy is correct.
